Eco-compatiblity and other advantages of mobile concrete batching plants

Eco-compatiblity and other advantages of mobile concrete batching plants Mobile concrete batch plants are used to store, measure and transfer all the ingredients that are required in the production of concrete. They are used for the production of all types of concrete, mixed cements, cold regenerations and enertizations of materials mixed with resin additives.  Batching plants transport all materials in separate containers. The operator, using an on-board computer can then proportionally extract materials to deploy the exact quality and quantity of concrete according to set parameters.  A further advantage of mobile batching plants is that they are Eco-compatible. This means that, due to their construction characteristics, they are also suitable for the recovery of materials destined to landfill disposal such as the cement mixes from masonry rubble. Concrete is the most used man-made commodity. The constituents that go into making concrete – cement, water and aggregates (limestone, granite and sand) are harmless to the environment. However, it is the manufacture and transportation of concrete that are not environmentally friendly, as they require energy and thereby emit high Carbon Dioxide levels into the atmosphere.  It is estimated that about 8 billion cubic meters of concrete manufactured annually. But, there is also a lot of waste concrete about in demolished buildings or any other concrete structure destined to for destruction. Until recently, the rubble mass was then transported to landfill sites for disposal.  There is now a growing interest in recycling as much concrete as possible to both help the environment and to save money spent on landfill fees and transportation costs.  But there is also another big saving - used concrete can be crushed and used as a substitute for ‘newly’ excavated aggregate. The mobile batch plant has two separate compartments for aggregates, a cement hopper, water tank and additives tank hence making it useful for reclaiming masonry rubble in concrete production. They are fitted with a touch a touch screen control panel allowing the operator to control the flow rate, type and quantity of concrete to be produced. All quantities are electronically weighed and batched. The weight of batched materials is deducted from the total weight to achieve the utmost precision. Concrete production formulas can be stored on the system to assist the operator and minimise human error. Records of batched materials can be downloaded and printed off as required. Mobile concrete batch plants are designed to help contractors improve profitability by using self-contained equipment for on site concrete production. They can be installed within a few hours, are compact, extremely versatile.
